Rebranding a website

I want to rebrand a website under another domain name. Is it sufficient to simply do a 301 Redirect? Will the new domain retain it's Google Page Rank and Alexa Rankings. If not. How should I do this so the the new domain inherits the old domain's rankings. It's the same website. Just a change of name.
