Reality show tm

Hi,

Knowing little about tm's , apart from they could cost you a lot of money if on the wrong end!

I have a few names that could certainly be considered very relevant to an upcoming major reality show.

I have noted that a trademark now applies effective May 2006, however the names that I have were registered 1-2 years ago.

Simple question- do I have any liabilty ?

Depends what you use them for. If you use them for something completely unrelated, you should be fine. If you infringe their mark by offering similiar services or riding off their popularity to generate income, then it doesn't really matter that it was registered beforehand.

Personally, I'd probably try to sell it to them now, before it goes live, because then they'd have no claims of bad faith since it was registered beforehand and you aren't trying to monetize off it's popularity.
