I actually like it. People pay anywhere from $500 to $1,500 in north america to take their test and become a licensed Realtor. Id say that if they are investing in study material anyways, a video training site would be an easy pitch. I cant say what it would be worth,.. but developed and marketed properly I can see it doing very well! You could even have additional material with deal closing techniques!

Im going to agree with Play on this one. RealEstateSchool.tv is definetly an interesting option. However! RealEstateClass.tv or RealEstateClasses.tv in my opinion is better. Interestingly enough RealEstateClass.tv was regged yesterday. (by you?) RealEstateClasses.tv is still available. They make a little more sense, especially if were trying to say RealEstateSchool on the TV - I think Class is a better / more popular word for this biz

(BTW, I took RealEstate school in Cali a few years ago, That state test is hard!)

I see a little more value in the name. Low to mid $$$ to a motivated developer. A bit more to an end user. Then even more if developed ... yada yada yada.... The term "real estate school" is a bit of a sell with the TV extension. Because the technology of live or recorded video instruction and education is in the development and early use stages and primarily a niche market medium it will take time for the use to grow into the name. Once these technologies are in more mainstream use and more heavily marketed the use of both online video or live streams for educating will grow. If this was your direction. I think the dot TV extension will also grow in popularity as well.

I would say find a developer that sees the possible future in the medium and his/her ability to market the dot TV connection. Or develop it and be on the leading edge of the niche market, get rich and send me a fat check as thanks for my support and faith in you. :p Good luck with the name

I find it very interesting that you would say .tv isnt the best but you willingly promote a .Fm in your signature speaking of not the best extension. I think its funny when folks say $0 wiht out a real reason besides oh it doesnt sound good. If you are going to give an appraisal good aor bad you should explain yourself with facts, otherwise it sounds like you are just trying to rain on someones parade. I am the one whom sold this name to HasRob, I think it was a beneficial purchase for both of us. I had at least 5 inquires about this name, even folks trying to lump it in a group to hide the fact they wanted it. I had several lower offers that I easily passed on, until I needed money that is. HasRob is in real estate school right now and will be developing this one. I see domainspade is very thurough, but I do not agree that real estate class is better, if you check overture scores, its not even a comparison IMO.

After I sold the name I was feeling a void in my portfolio, I a have very few real estate names so I started searching for names yesterday. I found real estate class was still available and grabbed it. IMO class, is worth half of what school is worth. I would actually trade realestateclass.tv to get realestateschool.tv personally. A class could be taught by anyone, a school sounds more reputable, generally the term school designates a qualified institution with credentials. I know some wierd people out there that have their own "art classes" etc, what qualifies them? If you all dont know, a major .tv real estate site just started up!

LoL. Nice pickup. Look, my opinion on the domain names, which is the best has been stated above. Perhaps OVT results show what most people would type - I went from what gramatically made more sense to me. I was recently attending school at a Major University and online education was reffered to as Online Courses. Now that I think about it a little more indepth, I believe that the optimum wording would be RealEstateCourse.tv (which is taken). However RealEstateCourses.tv is avail.

So the real question then becomes, what is the pecking order? and am I missing any here? Here is the order I like them in (agree or not)

After writing and responding to this post, I had considered most of it. I think its a promising concept for Real Estate School to be on Television and the internet through television. I picked up the example I found that was available. RealEstateCourses.TV

LOL, very true. It's a great time to buy right now for investors. Properties in the florida keys (I'm on vacation and browsing properties here) that usually sell for $1.2 mil are going for $700,000. And up my way in P.a, homes that normally sell for $400,00 are going for $305,000, below low market value. Real estate agents with money are buying their own listings off their clients who are very motivated to sell.

A crappy market for home owners sales, but a great time to learn the business and prepare for the next bubble.
