Hi all,

I am currently thinking of purchasing a drop domain

Example: ****realestates.com - I realise that it would probably be much more valuable if it did not have the s on the end of it.

Recently a domain name ****realestate.com went for mid xx,xxx

My question is would the domain ending in ***realestates.com hold much value in comparison ? - or would it likely be just the reg fee ?

More opinions or price guestimates would be very helpful and appreciated

The 's' REALLY hurts the value. The term is 'real estate' not 'real estates'. Most traffic would be lost to the non 's' version. A waste of money, unless it's reg fee. If you're buying it to resell, keep in mind that a company who would spend a decent amount on a domain will NOT purchase a name like ***realestates because they know they'd lose more traffic and customers to the more logical version. That's my opinion.

Yes, I agree with Gene, the s would pretty much kill that domain.

If the only other bidder defaults payment I will have to pay $68 for it !!

If I knew I would probably get even $2,000 for it I would be quite happy to buy it !

Hey Gazzip... I'm the buyer of that ****RealEstate.com domain you're referring to. The same domain with the "s" would have very little if any value to me.

Just my input... hope it helps!

Yes, CaribbeanRealEstate.com is an excellent domain (if a little long), and has obvious value and application. The Caribbean, after all, is a huge region with a lot of very valuable property for sale.

I'd have to agree, however, that the "s" would destroy the value. Unfortunately, it just doesn't sound right.

Nice one IdahoFarmer - Are you hoping to sell it ?, I would of thought a domain like that would be easy to get on the first page in google, its currently not in the first 4oo !!!!

(thats if you're referring to caribbeanrealestate.com)

Thanks all for replies

if you can go for the word without the 's', do it! As gene and the rest of the ppl here already stated, it kills the domain and value :)
