We are very interested in this name.

Did you get offers from other people already?

Our company develops client-server systems ( MS SQL/ Visual C++ ), so investing in domain names is not my main business.

The domain is SkumBucket.com. I'm not sure how anybody that develops systems could be genuinely interested in this domain. Although it does get some decent hits, seeing that I used to run a 1500+ member forum. I've read some topics on here and alot of emails about domains seem to be fake. So I'd just like your opinion on this. I'm not sure if I should really be posting this, with that little warning on the bottom of the message, but who cares.

It's a scam. I've gotten the same e-mail before.

They want you to pay an apraiser first. Then they don't buy the name, I didn't fall for it and you shouldn't either.

Yes, scamers are always sending their scam emails from their own domains regged with real whois data :D

I got my first scam email the other day. I entertained him & let him send me an offer for $5000. I replied back telling him his ip address, location & all the emails associated with his account. I told him either he cuts it out or I report him to the Feds. Mysteriously I never heard from him again. lol

Scam reply-the best one?

I got the same email last week. Remembered some namepros posting about the guy.

I was trying to think of an entertaining reply but I simply told him to go to Sedo and buy it with a PS I don't pay for appraisals. he didn't get the hint.

Next time I'll have to think of a better one.

I like the IP trace from the other namepro member.

Hopefully someone has an even better reply.
