    ReadyTech.com
    ReadiTech.com
    RediTech.com

I own none of these domains but my question, is shorter always better? Each of these URL's will take you to a different company where you can get a better feel for how they're being used.

I think I know how domainers feel, but more important to me is how "end users" feel?

    Thoughts:unsure:

I would rather have Ready Tech by a fair margin. It is easier to market as it is spelled exactly how you would think if you heard it.

2nd & 3rd can be read in several ways, one is " red eye tech " confusing isn't it?

ReadyTech can only be read one way.

Yes, they can build brands on them, but they're weak & difficult to market like the above poster said, & have very little to no value at all, in domaining terms.

Whenever someone asks, "is shorter better?" I can't help but to think it is a trick question.......:xf.grin:

Best would be imo "RedyTech"...since Tech is an abbreviation so Ready can be abbreviated to "Redy"...also there is a symmetry in those two words, both consists of 4L

While I don't disagree, how I became interested in this in the first place was when I re-carpeted my office using a company called RediCarpet .com. It was obvious to me "redi" was just a shorter and cooler version of "ready" imho. Then if you look at GD's valuation you'll find they value RediCarpet @ $1,935 and ReadyCarpet @ $1,355. Then digging a little deeper you'll find that ReadyCarpet is for sale @ DomainMarket for $29,888:xf.rolleyes:.

Brad and friends, it's information like this that educates me about this industry meaning the more you learn, the less you know:xf.confused: Based on my limited knowledge I bought a domain for my first responder, cop, neighbor, hero and friend; RediSnack(.)com for a vending business he's starting. He happened to be a first responder to the scene when 12 of our city employees were tragically and senselessly killed in VB two weeks ago.

Thanks for your input Brad, and if you haven't already, check to see how much Nameworth.com appraises DataCube.com for(y)

I don't know if you saw the example I gave about RediCarpet....but there wasn't the least bit of confusion when I first saw it. However, now that I see you're confused or at least you think others may be confused I should test to see what others think about domains like RediMeal or RediSnack? Thanks
