Rapid DNS Updates?

Anyone heard anything about this? Was suppose to happen on September 8th. Still nothing. I just registered a domain and was hoping I could start working on it, but it's not updating yet.

Although VeriSign already started implementing its rapid DNS
updating, propagation still depends on 2 other major factors:

1. How soon the registrar sends the changes to the Registry.
Some registrars do it in real time like NetSol & Tucows while
others do it via batches like eNom (I think).
