Hello,

At this time, we have to announce bad news to all shared hosting customers.

We have decided to close RackSlash Networks due to funds to keep all servers on shared hosting service and staffs.

Our all servers will be closed down within 20 days.

We already canceled all subscription on Paypal and 2CO, so you don*t have to worry about recurring billing. If your subscription is not canceled yet, please let us know, so we can canceled it.

If you are monthly payment customer, your account will closed within 20 days or on your due date; our billing system will close the accounts automatically on due date.

If you are 3 monthly/6 monthly/1 yearly payment customer and still have more than 31 days left on due date, we will refund your rest of credit. But if you have used promotion code during signup and you are on promotion period right now, there will be no refund as stated on our TOS/AUP.

Promotion period: If you have used 3 month free or 6 month free coupon, you only paid half of actual amount. So if you have been 3 months or 6 months with us since your site is hosted under our servers, you are on free months promotion period, which does not apply any refund.

If you are those 3 monthly/6monthly/1yearly payment customers without promotion period currently, please open ticket at sales department at account.rackslash.com. They will tell current credit and way to refund those credits.

::::::Notice::::::
Please open one ticket per one account with title ※Refund rest of my credit§. If you open multiple tickets under one account or different department, our billing system will ignore it, so if you are requesting ticket, please open one ticket per account with that title at sales department.

It will take couple hours or couple days to response your ticket because we believe there will be high flow of tickets, so please wait until we take care of each tickets step by step.

And from now, we will down rackslash.com to void new signups, but we will keep open account.rackslash.com and forums.rackslash.com to communicate with us and each others.

::::::Caution::::::
If any of information on this email goes to public by current customers on shared hosting service, he/she will not get any refund.

Let us know if you have any question.

Thank you.

This is after a huge amount of downtime and hardly any communication with hostee's.

What a bunch of crap.

All i can say: Good - 1 less kiddi host in the world!

Yes, they had become quite big, but they should have had a better buisiness plan, they would have seen that they werent making proffit long before even announcing the closure.

20days notice is simply not enough, and is most likely questionably legaly.

It's probably 20 days till there so called servers run out of time before they have to pay again.

Well, cases like these seem to happen often here on Namepros; from what I remember, there was Nationhosts, Nullnic, Nemohosting, Mangowebs, veolus, matzoo, mygighost, neomedia and several other $NP hosts (and the list goes on...)

Perhaps one should be more vigilant and thoroughly research options, such as review searches, inquiring about background and term in business before choosing someone based on a single criterion like low price, high bandwidth, etc. Kiddie hosts might be easier to spot through this method. Paying monthly is also a much safer option until you get to know and trust your host really well.

Anyway, seems like Liam's unfortunately been jumping around for hosts often (seeing your past threads), hopefully you'll finally find someone to stick to! Best of luck

Very well put - if you take a look at the web hosting offers section, you will find that 3/4 of them are "kiddy hosts".

Unfortunatly i was with a few hosts you mentioned. I'm an idiot when it comes to hosts really.

I would go with a well known one now, but i do not have any money for at least two months now :(
