Quickly switch between parking providers

I have been using the nameserver method to switch back and forth between parking providers, which takes as long as a day to propagate fully and kind of messes up the statistics because traffic is split between two providers for 2 days.

Will using the CNAME or any other method eliminate this problem? It would be really nice to be able to switch parking companies instantly.

I would prefer to do it on the registrar level. Not crazy about Above.com--too many bugs in stats, etc.
