Quick question on premium domains

If a premium .com (30,000 global exacts) domain is worth about $1,000

should i register the .org or .net, will i be able to resell it quickly?

Well using the godaddy register search i typed a name and it said this .com premium domain is for sale. Which would lead me to believe that it was appraised as a premium domain.

At godaddy anybody can list their domain for sale at whatever price they want and call it a premium domain.

If I had yzzzprt.com, I could list it for sale at godaddy for $2000 as a premium domain. There is no screening on godaddy for what qualifies as being listed a premium domain as long as it is a .com .net or .org.

actually godaddy is offering it as a third party member from fabulous domains.

or for example sedo has classified a domain as premium or top domain. Then when you type in that name on godaddy it shows that the premium domain is being offered with the price.

Well ask yourself why there was nobody before you regging this name in .net, maybe the .com is a TM?

I think I get the jist of your question now.
You don't intend to buy the .com but are asking if you should settle for the .net or the .org ?

If this is correct, I would advise not to, but let's see what others think.

but in this case the domain is screen from a website like afternic, sedo, fabulous domains etc.

no the domain is 100% all generic but its in a nich that domainers have long forgot about but is still getting the searches
