A little help please guys (and gals) :)

If someone buys my premium domain listed on GoDaddy and pays by credit card. Does the domain show up in their account immediately?

In my experience the answer is no . From sale date to completion of transfer takes approximately 6 days for u to get paid and for transaction to be complete.
I'm sure there are instances where it might be faster but I've never had one

Thank you for your help. So to be clear, it can take up to 6 days for the domain to appear in the new owners account?

I have experience with an ordinary buy now listings. When the domain is sold it's transferred to the buyer exactly on day 6 from the day purchase was made. Next day I'm being paid.

Many thanks to you both! :)

From my experience it is GoDaddy Auctions that take 5 days to clear payment, then are transferred on Day 6. Premium Listings are transferred faster, often within a few hours.

One more question here :)
Names that are on afternic premium are not automatically on godaddy premium. Am I correct? I still believe I need to put the names in premium listings on godaddy to get better exposure. Please correct me if I'm wrong

Yes I agree but still there are still lots of domains that sell for me on god premium although they are at afternic premium as well. I think God premium is better somehow?

Don't know about buying at Premium too much. I do know that when I sell on Premium, the whois changes to the buyers info within a day or two (never checked the actual time, but I did see the change within 2 days). I receive the money in my account on Day 5 (not counting the actual day it sold).

Got a question kinda related to this topic so I'll go ahead and post it here:

For GD Auctions BIN sales, when does one get paid? The buyer already paid GD, the 5 day period of verifying funds has ended, the domain has been pushed to the buyer (the push was done at another registrar, not GD). Yet, it's been like two weeks or something and GD hasn't paid out yet.

The buyer needs to contact Godaddy and let them know that the domain has been transferred and they will release the funds to you. You can also try to contact GoDaddy yourself and let them know the transfer is done. Outside transfers are a little different than internal transfers and I believe they require manual intervention on GoDaddy's part to release funds from my experience. But I am generally very proactive - there may be a timeframe GD will release the money automatically on an outside transfer.

Others please correct me if I am wrong.

If someone buys my premium domain listed on GoDaddy and pays by credit card. Does the domain show up in their account immediately?

The reason I asked this original question was because I wanted to telephone-talk an internet challenged user through the process of purchasing the domain and then pointing it to their existing website.

I can now answer my own question: The domain did not show up in their account immediately, but it was there within a few hours.

I hope this helps someone in the future.
