Can I delete a thread, and if so, how?

When I post a domain for sale, I think a potential buyer can private message me with an offer, correct? Will I receive email notification when a buyer pm's me?

you can Lock a Thread in Market place, from Thread tools menu. which is in top on your thread. and i think we get notification only once a day not instantly. i get my todays notifications nextday morning.

You can not delete your own threads. In the marketplace, you may close your thread yourself and/or edit it to remove any information that you wish.

As for sales offers: depends how you sell the domain & what forum you use. Naturally the auction forum requires ALL bids to be posted publicly in the thread (NO PM BIDS). Each forum has a set of specific rules outlined for that specific forum that should be read before you attempt to sell a domain.

Another example is the "Make Offer" forum. A member may post or PM an offer to you unless you specify otherwise how you wish the offers to be communicated (e.g., post, PM, email). Note, you may not link to a 3rd party site to sell a domain though unless its in the external sales forum.

To set your notification types, you can go into your usercp > Settings & Options > Edit Options > Messaging & Notifications do so under Alert Preferences.

Hope that helps a little. Just be sure to read the rules of the forum you are thinking about posting a domain for sale in first to avoid accidents.

Edit: Post updated to remove information that is no longer accurate in 2016.
