I sold a domain that ended in auction at $70 US. Sedo then takes their 10% which makes the total sale $63. In an e-mail they sent me, they say "you will be responsible for the transfer and escrow fee of the domain name, 50 EUR or 10% of the agreed sale price, which ever one is greater." So does this mean I have to take an additional loss of approx $65? In that case I will be losing money on selling this domain. Wow...

If you have the domain parked with them, I believe their commission is only 10%. Otherwise, the minimum fee applies. You may not be left with much money from this sale. :(

If you were able to send it to auction then you had the name listed with them. They only take their 10% and the selling sales price has to be above $60 which it is so you owe nothing additional. I never sell anything at Sedo under $250. It's not worth it. Anything less I try to sell on the forums.

:hi:

fonzie 007 is right.

If you did not have the domain Parked at Sedo then Sedo will get $50
and you will get just $7.

If you did have the domain Parked at sedo, you will get $63 with no further
reduction.

I know that message ""you will be responsible for the transfer and escrow fee of the domain name,..." is confusing as it seems to be an additional fee beyond the 10% but it is not.

It's referring to the 10% or $50 minimum.

Happy Domaining,
Patrick

Oh okay, well I did have the domain parked with sedo, so that is a relief. Thanks a lot.
