how big is the eu going to be? is it all talk?

e.g

If you found an .eu available, that was a typo, and in .com had a few hundred type ins, would you reg it?

If I found a .com unregged with a few hundred type ins most would reg it in a shot, is this the same case amongst our experienced domainers for .eu? if not why not?

.eu will never overtake .com IMO, not even close. It doesn't mean, however, that .eu domains won't be valueable. I'm guessing LLL.eu domains will be selling for no less than $20.

If they are going for $20 I would buy hundreds at that price :)

More like $500 IMO minimum for the good letters

Of course the good letters are going to be worth more. I don't see LLL.eu being worth any more than .us domains at the moment. I would be surprised if crappy LLL.eu were selling for any higher than $40.

I think LLL.eu and good .eu's in general will kick off with very good sales straight away - more so than the .us JMO :)

so would you reg a typo .eu if its .com counterpart was getting a few hundred type ins per month?

If there was a developed .eu page, then I would consider reging a .eu typo. Otherwise, I personally would not register a .eu typo if there was only a .com developed page. (Although others may disagree with me)

I personally would'nt as it is not likely to get much traffic for a while yet IMO

If it is a generic word that is used commonly in europe then I would consider it if I was prepared to hold it for a number of years.
