I miss the old purple site where I could chase the purple squirrel. $900,000 was way to cheap in my opinion for a domain of this type and quality. It is easily worth 4 million.

I just can't understand people who have massive domains like that, and are not either putting them into use or ready to sell it. Surely that person has received absolutely massive offers for the domain, so it not just negotiating tactic to "pretend" that it is not for sale.

Perhaps, unless the German government takes it for free, like the French did for France.com:

Interesting...
Contrast this to:
The Complainant is HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN, in right of her Government in New Zealand, as Trustee for the Citizens, Organizations and State of New Zealand, acting by and through the Honourable Jim Sutton, the Associate Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade c/o The New Zealand Trade Development Board, Auckland, New Zealand.
The Domain Name is <newzealand.com>.
In the circumstances, the Panel has no hesitation in branding this misconceived Complaint as an abuse of the Policy, which has put the Respondent to needless expense.

The allegation of reverse domain name hijacking succeeds.

7. Decision

The Complaint is dismissed and the Panel upholds the allegation of reverse domain name hijacking.

Best way to get more money is to pretend you are not interested in selling.

Heck, we do it all the time :xf.laugh:

Good price for buyer and seller IMO.

The traffic it came with, is an interesting point that I haven't seen much discussion on.

Prior to the sale in Nov 17, it was getting around 1 million unique monthly visitors then jumped to almost 3 million after the Nov 17 acquisition.

That's incredibly valuable just in itself.
