How many of you here are pure domainers who don't develop any of their names and are just buyers and sellers and flippers and parkers?

How many of you actually go ahead and develop something out of your names?

Some numbers please!

Develop as many as I can find the time / energy to work on.

Pure domainer for now :)

Both.

Both.

But as domain sponsors with the advancement of technology and the scarcity of time, I may just become a domainer in the future :)

I develop what I can... and hope to sell the rest.

I develop about 0.1% of my names, all for personal use. Mostly non-profit. So I'd say I was a domainer at heart :)

I would've liked to develop a few, especially the ones with subjects close to my heart (they would be more like blogs than sites), but I really don't have any clue about web design or development. Heck, I can't even put up a simple HTML page!

95% Domainer.... 4% Developer.... 1% Moderator

I've let so many expire untouched over the years that I now try to get something up on every one I register. With some of the drop lists that get posted here that can be a challenge :) I find that even a Wordpress install with a couple of posts about your plans for the name will get indexed over time (at least in non-competitive areas).

Would like to develop more, but I lack the knowledge (& software) to make a professional-appearing site.

Google doesn't care what it looks like, they only notice the content. So even if all you have is a few hundred words about what you think the domain would be good for, on a default wordpress template, that's enough to start the ageing clock running.

That's important to end users; there are lots of threads on various forums from people looking for domains with age.

More of a domainer at this stage

More domainer here. I don't have the skill/ right gameplan when it comes to developing. I think we need more 50/50 cost wise/profit etc when it comes to developers working with domainers, so that it can be easily affordable as a domainer to turn 1 of your domains into a profitable venture such as a website. But i definitely domain more than develop. I hope it switches over a bit more in the future though

I am an application & web developer (coder) and have a graphics & web designs partner, so we are essentially equipped to develop.
But domaining in itself seems so much more fun and interesting, I've never got down to actually developing to sell. Apart from a few, I seem to just keep collecting.

I much rather choose to design and develop 3rd party and generate revenue for more domains, than to develop mine and sell.

Guess I'll have to start seriously soon tho.

I mostly develop my domains, website visitors are less fussy about which registrar you use and which country you are from compared to domain buyers.
