I got PS4.biz 2 years ago.

Sony has the PS3.biz and more domains.

Is PS+ a Trademark?

Can they ask me to give it to them?

What ideas do you have for this domain?

I dont think so

I don't it is trademarked because it could stand for so many things. then again, if sony owns PS3.biz and PS2.biz it is possible that a judge would find in their favor even if it isn't trademarked because you registered it with the intent that it would be used as a playstation domain.

I think they will probably rename their system by then though. PS4 just doesn't have the same ring to it that PS1, PS2, and PS3 do. but what do I know.

u could always use domain name analyzer to check for trademarks. me... I'm too lazy.

Definite trademark. Take a look at two registered Sony trademarks for "ps3":

http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=9tpqd7.3.2

http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=9tpqd7.3.4

Either way, they have already claimed these domains:

ps1.biz
ps2.biz
ps3.biz
psone.biz
psx.biz
playstation.biz
playstation2.biz
playstation3.biz

And these are only .biz.

I do believe they want to stick to the numerical values so PlayStation 4 is a very big chance. Like I've already said via pm, your best bet is to sell now before it is too late.

They won't take it away from you after PlayStation 4 is released, they will take it away shortly after PlayStation 3 (possible 1-3 years).

I looked at your trademark links but Sony doesnt have TM for PS4
I noticed that someone asked for PS4 in 1991 for some polygons products.

You don't understand. PS3 trademark was just filed November of 2005. Just a little over 6 months ago. They won't trademark PS4 before even PS3 is released.

I don't care, do whatever you want, I'm giving you advice.

Never got trademark problems with Sony.
They really like fanboys sites to pop up... I sold my ps3 blog to the owner of www.ps3.net. who obviously doesn't suffer of any tm problem

If Sony wanted that domain, they would already have it. The fourth generation system will have a different name, with near certainty.

Oh yeah, what kind of certainty is that? This is exactly what everyone said when PlayStation 2 was being released.

Nobody knows if they will take away the domain, nobody knows if there will be a so called "PlayStation 4" and quite frankly, nobody here knows or will disclose anything that the company knows, so your certainty isn't really creditable whatsoever.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe it is possible for a company to register a trademark and then take a domain from you that you have owned for a period longer than they registered that trademark for.

If that is not the case, then wouldn't that mean that someone can register NamePros as a trademark and then get full rights to the site as they own the trademark.

I'm not particularly knowledgable on such subjects, but that would seem the logical answer to your problem.
