Hi All,
I just thought I'd ask what everybody's workload is like.
I'm pretty slow. Seems like nobody needs websites
around here or updates to their existing sites.
I've been promoting and marketing myself but not many
takers.

I was just wondering how you all are doing in terms
of new projects.

Thanks, Innovative

I just put together a quote for a local golf course.
I haven't heard back yet, that would be a nice project.

Ley me ask everybody this question.

I just put together a quote for a local golf course.
They want 12 navigation buttons which would mean 12 pages,
plus about 3 or 4 sub pages. About a 15 page website total.
I know this might be difficult to answer but give me your
best ballpark figure as to what you might charge for this
type of website. I realize it's pretty vague but I'm just looking
for a ballpark figure.
There is no flash involved. Just your basic pages.......
home, contact, photos, about us, etc etc.......

I have five sites to be getting to grips with, but I am just starting out and they aren't "proper" clients - just mutual favours from mates so I can build a portfolio (and one of them is my website design site and one is a deal with my hosting company for free hosting - it may not sound that good a deal - but its my partner (romantic and he's also offered me a share in the company)'s hosting company, and I may well get referrals from him. I think getting paid work will be much harder, but I'm happy to take things slow, and market myself at my own pace - of course I can afford to do this because I have a day job and from September I'll have three years at uni - which I think will give me a good oppertunity for me to build up the buisness -my portfolio, repetoire (sp?) of services and of course, make some contacts. Whilst the extra money will come in handy for this poor student :p I don't think there is much in the way of design firms in my local area, at least not for my target market and price range, so I think I'll be alright.

No idea what to charge people yet, but I'll probably be targeting small buisnesses, organisations and charities at the small end of the financial spectrum, so my prices will be fairly low (which suits the fact that I don't have a lot of proffessional experiance).
