I cancelled some domains within the time limit, but didn't get a taste refund. I sent in a help request but haven't heard anything.

Any one else have this problem?

If the tasting refund has ended, I would have like to know in advance.

You don't have to send any support request. All is done at once. When you delete the names, your balance get's a refund within few minutes. For me it took few seconds to get my account refunded.

I know that.......

Like I said, this time it didn't happen and the names are still in my account. I have tried redeleting, but it says they are already gone.

Must be since you are a new customer, it is taking some time. It should be updated soon or else sent them a support email and see what they can do for you. :)

I am not new.

I have done this many times and have never had a problem before.

Yes, I have had this experience with Moniker and much more!!

Yes, I have had this experience with Moniker and much more!!

First, the tasting program was presented very simply too me that it cost $.25 to delete a name, however they did not tell me that you could not get a refund out of your account and had too eventually buy the amount of domains you tested. So, without knowing this I tested 5000 names only to learn that I could not get back my $35,000. This is only the beginning.

Next, I deleted 1000 domains within the 4 day grace period and sat there as there system said this was successfully complete, however I did not check my record log to confirm this. The names were not deleted so I had to eat $7k of my credit.

Next time I tested 300 domains and thought I would get around the issue of potentially screwing up a delete, so I emailed them the list I wanted to delete and called to confirm they would delete it. Bottom line was they screwed up on the delete, and admitted it, but kept chanting their montra that you โ€œtest at your own risk.โ€

Ah, sorry about that. I was actually responded to and they sorted out my issue.

You might want to try and reach Don Lyons and see if he can help you.

Or you could buy one of mine there for 35K and I will give you a kickback of 30K..........just kidding.

Does anyone of us mere mortals have a major success story with domain tasting?

It strikes me that we are at such a major disadvantage compared to the usual suspects who do it for free and in a completely automated way, it may not be worth it even if it always costs say 1 cent and 1 minute per domain. I know there are better options, but many people seem to be paying a lot for a probability that is not quantified - at least not publicly from what I've seen so far.

Story sounds partially fishy & of someone not paying attention to details.
