Problem with my site

Hi i am trying to develop my first site using iweb on a mac... i know its not the greatest program to use but im stuck with it for now!

My problem is that when i publish the folder it wont let me make a home page example. instead of domainsclerk.com it comes as domainsclerk.com/home.html... any ideas or help on how to change this will be appreciated!

Can't you just rename it?

It doesnt let me rename it blank for the home page and whatever i put it still comes up .html

by default, your homepage should be index.html, index.htm, etc. when you type in domainsclerk.com, it will open up the index file even though it might not say domainsclerk.com/index.htm.

thanks for the help so far i understand this but the index file points straight through to another page and im not sure how to change this. Can anyone help me? I just want it to be a standard dot com not a forwarded address.

what is in your index.htm file (or your index.whatever), and where do you want index.htm to point to?

generally you make your homepage index.htm, not homepage.htm btw
