I want to purchase a domain name and the seller has also agreed but the domain is at Yahoo and as far as I know they dont have free pushes and transfer out facility. The seller doesn't want to give me his yahoo account either. What can be done in this situation? Thanks for any replies..

Yahoo doesn't have a push but it should be possible to transfer away.
The registrar is Melbourne IT if it can help.

Yeah, Yahoo sucks with the no push thing. I got caught in a similar situation where I ended up giving the buyer my yahoo account that I had used for years :( It was worth it though for the money. Unfortunately the buyer never updated the whois or billing info, so I got charged for a renewal on a domain I no longer own. Time to report that card as lost :)

I'd just do a transfer if the domain is past the 60 days limit (or is it 90?).

The limit is usually 60 days and it is registered for more than 60 days. How do we get EPP code of domain at Yahoo?

I dont know. Yahoo's CP sucks majorly and their email support is even worse. I waited 2 weeks for a response :)

You need to gain access to the domain at MelbourneIT's control panel. Some people have successfully transferred their Yahoo domains away, but I'm not one of them. MelbourneIT are notoriously difficult to deal with. For example, they want to charge you $20 for them to change your whois info, or to unlock the domain. So, if the seller has access to the control panel at MelbourneIT then he can unlock the domain and put your email address in the whois.
