received a $X,XXX off on a pro today and sedo will soon be listing these (per an email from them) so hang onto them...looks like they'll be off to a good start.

Wow $700 open. He's got no chance. The domain doesn't even mean anything.

Now imagine what would happen if Icann would indeed go ahead and decide that all the 2nd level .PRO registrations recently reg'd via EnCirca are actually invalid and that they have to be deleted... All those .PRO selling mavericks now quickly selling their .PRO names will then have to pay back the new owners of the names, plus it is unlikely too that they themselves will get their own registration costs reimboursed.

;)

I'd say the principal of Caveat Emptor will prevail here on resales. Probably why few of the resale sites like afternic or sedo are willing to get involved yet.

data.pro, sure...
startrek.pro? Would only be ok in other "safer" extensions.
mpeg.pro is only going for $1 after 3 days? There is certainly a hefty cooling off period on these bad-boys.

I believe Paramount Pictures Corp. could have some "special interest" in startrek.pro...
They have around 100 TMs for "star trek" and variations of it, and I believe they've been very interested in Star Trek related domains in the past.. :)

Looked like 2 different sellers, but they pulled both auctions off the market.

I wonder if someone threatened them...

I dunno...just strange they both got pulled. that AAAA.Pro sale went through, but that was the dumbest domain and biggest waste of $50 I've ever seen.

Actually they registered during the $49 sale. Therefore, they made a big $2.
