Read More.ConsumerDirect registered the mark PRIVACYMASTER in 2022. After offering as much as $55,000 dollars to acquire the domain PrivacyMaster.com, the company went into “Plan B” mode by filing a UDRP.
The domain was registered in 2000, however, making it 22 years older than the Complainant’s mark.
Final decision: Deny transfer of the domain PrivacyMaster.com to the Complainant. They were also found guilty of engaging in Reverse Domain Name Hijacking.
