This may not be news to everyone, but it was certainly news to me.I was under the impression .COM.MX cost $50-$70 to register, but that's Peso's  .
I know .COM.MX isn't the greatest extension in the world right now,but at just $6.00 a registration it's definetly worth a look. There is a decent amount of 2 letter .COM.MX available, some VERY good ones-a few words too like HI.com.mx.
I registered MN.com.mx which,as you'll see on the site,is short for Mexican and/or Pesos just as USD is short for US dollars.
The only problem is the site is completely in Spanish.I only know the very basic Spanish I learned in high school but was able to navigate through the registration process without much trouble.I used Babelfish to translate anything questionable.
I contacted thier customer service before regging and they told me there's no special requirements and no hidden fees.My domain was resolving seconds after I regged it.
Post here if you decide to reg one!

Wow. When I regged my one-char com.mx they were still at US$30 per year. I hope Mexico can turn itself around, then maybe my com.mx would become more valuable.

If you're registering keywords or keyword phrase domains, they won't need to...

Here's the link to nic.mx

Also they have a page for English speaking customers which basically says to call customer service.

Does anyone else get the "Por favor, verifique la escritura del nombre de dominio." message when they look up the availability of a keyword domain basically saying - please doublecheck the domain name you typed? The only keywords I could find available were using english letters instead of the spansh letters.

Is it possible to skip the .com.mx-part? MX (mx-record) is an essential part for e-mail communication, companyname.mx would be really nice to have! :)
