I don't know but is there a list of letters by Ranking?

And if there is a ranking for letters is there or shouldn't there be for Numbers as well 1-9?

A great way to rank letters is to look at scrabble pieces - the more they are worth in Scrabble, the less they are worth in domaining.

That said, I might move "F" down, but I think you need a middle category anyway.

Remembering that this is an area where there is a lot of disagreement, I would set up the chart this way for English:
Worst ------> Best
The worst letters: Q X Z - (most accept this group (again in English) but some differ on the order)
Second Tier: V Y J U K W - (there is a hard line in people's minds between these 9 letters called bad letters and the other 17 called premium letters. There is no greater frequency difference between W and H than any other adjacent letters, as far as I know, but the superstition is strongly placed and we have to live with it.)

It really depends on your market - US they are pretty much in order 1-9 then 0, China more like the above but with 1 much lower value.

Maybe there aren't many companies starting with that letter, but I can remember many times the X is used: X Men, Malcolm X, etc etc

As for the numbers, in domains, I think 7 is the best, because it means 7 days a week, and the lucky 7. As a group, maybe 24 is even better.

I guess it depends on what ur looking for as so many domains are including letters and numbers combos. Now does the number 1 fit better as the best number just relating to what the phones do. i.e. A1 airconditioning or 1a Airconditioning gets to be higher in the book and does that concept work in SEO i don't know.
