Description:

eBooks.cc is an eBook marketplace that I started in the fall of 2005. I purchased the domain name eBooks.cc from it's previous owner because I felt that it was important to have a one word domain with the keyword "eBooks" in it.

I have done little or no promotion of the site since it launched 3 years ago, but even with no promotion the site has still had over 40 customers register and has generated a little over $100 in revenue. It has also steadily climbed the search engines for the past few years for niche keywords.

THE SCRIPT:

The Script running eBooks.cc is a turnkey script that I purchased years ago. I HEAVILY modded the design and there is no other site out there that looks like it (the original script was HIDEOUS). The script itself was never promoted much so you won't see very many similar sites out there.

The script has a backend to completely manage every aspect of the site you can think of, from the products themselves to sending out newsletters to your customers.

The site runs on auto pilot, when your customer purchases an ebook they make payment through the gateway of your choice and then are redirected back to your site where they can download the eBook(s) that they purchased

The eBooks:

I don't have the exact number of eBooks that are for sale on the site as the script doesn't have that figure for some reason, but it's got to be over 100 and adding more is a simple two click process.

Resale rights are included for all eBooks for sale. Many of them are popular public domain classics that have been specially formatted for the site with a ad for eBooks.cc worked into the PDF.

All profits from the sales of any eBooks go directly to the site.

TRAFFIC DETAILS:

I will upload screenshots of Awstats for the past year and a half (I added awstats to the server in mid-2007). I make no claims as to where the traffic is coming from as I do not monitor this site. I will also upload screenshot of Google Webmaster tools showing site placement for it's keywords, the keywords vary from momth to month and aren't that great at them moment (but you can see the potential!).

PRICE EXPECTATIONS:

Please make offer in thread or on Sitepoint Sales thread: http://marketplace.sitepoint.com/auctions/47686

NOTE ON THE SITES PAGERANK:

The site is currently PR1 simply from neglect, it was PR 3 for quite a few years

IN CLOSING:

This is an awesome site, well aged with a unique selection of eBooks. I have not done any SEO on it so what it needs is an owner who is willing to put some time into promoting it so it really takes off.

Please post any questions in the comment thread and I will be glad to answer them
