Hi Guys,

Good poker name here with keywords and can be themed around beginners to poker.

Please note that with the hyphen it is the correct grammer, for example if you type 'preflop' in google, the first three listings currently are hyphenated (pre-flop)

Also if you check wikipedia it is referred to as pre-flop.

Your experienced thoughts will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks.

Aaron

The hyphen stabs a gaping wound into this loser of a domain. The bleeding is profuse leading all potential value to depart entirely. Grace delete ASAP and avoid the deadly horizontal death curse in the future. IMO.

i feel the person that would want this is the guy that hammers out many pokers sites. Somebody that wants to develope just one good poker site wouldnt want to talk only about pre-flop strategy. Remember grammer correct or not people are for the most part too lazy to search out the hyphen key lol especially in the address bar. Name has value, ill throw it in the mid xx to low xxx range. Goodluck

Thank you.

I didnt think it was worth an incredible amount, however I would expect more than the $xx mark Wouldnt expect more than the low to mid range $xxx mark. Doesn't google count a hyphen as a space? abd bearing in mind that this is the genuine grammatical way to write it how could preflop.com be better?

Writing a strategy on pre-flop poker can contain a lot of content what with there being so many variations of the game.

I am shocked that you guys think this is a lame name, I am waiting to hear some other people who know about poker's responses.

Thanks all the same!

According to Google, there are only 260 Google searches in the entire world for "pre flop" each month, so less than 9 searches per day. There are over a million pages competing for the 9 searches. Given the low search volume and the hyphen, your type-in traffic should be zero. I would try to delete if possible or would be very happy with a $xx sale.

I do not think you should expect too much because of dash first of all.

Many names can be branded and hyped, but this term has such a negative meaning that it would be barely worth the effort and money.

I would agree: worth $0.

ava101, I would suggest that you visit the newbie thread--lots of good info there for beginners.

Then check out the rest of the namepros site.

Good luck!

Whats the negative meaning? Are you looking at it as flop=failure? thats not why the name was reg. Flop means putting down the comunity cards on the table in poker

Oh, okay.

Gotcha.

I stand corrected.

:tri:

In that context, the domain could be branded.

Gotta agree with what johname said... this would only appeal to someone who is dishing out a ton of mini-sites and those guys would have plenty of back stock that would be better than this one. I'd be surprised if you could get back the reg fee. Wish it weren't so, bud, because I have hundreds of similar poker domain names...

And whether or not "pre-flop" is the correct way to write it, the dash does kill the domain name's branding value... because people aren't going to type that dash in. It's only useful for search engine clicks.

My best advice would be to do a whois search and find out who owns preflop.com and try to sell it to them. Or just develop a mini-site with how to play pre-flop and try to make your money back that way.
