Lo there one and all.
I'm putting one of my proxies up for sale, as the massive amount of requests of all my sites is just a little bit too much for my server.
URL: http://www.thecgiproxy.com
Age of site (months): 4
Monthly revenue: minimal
Revenue details:
I'm currently running chitika and Layer-Ads on it. Daily revenue is around .50-1$ per day, so really minimal. I think this could be easily optimized by using Adsense (which I don't have an account with at this time) or better integration - I'm an expert in getting traffic and building sites, but not an expert in monetizing sites...
Traffic details:
Overview
Detailed February
Detailed March (as of 24th)
Description:
TheCGIProxy.com is a free anonymous proxy browser using the CGIProxy script (perl/cgi). It's listed in topsites, as well as proxy.org.
Type of site:
Established and functional website with traffic (see stats).
Google page rank: 5
Before people start discussing the PR, yes it has got a PR of 5, see SEOLogs Fake PR Check. Google is doing it's dance, so some tools/toolbars might not display it correctly (yet).
The links to the site from all my sites will stay up at least for another month after the sale (additional and/or longer running link trades can be discussed after the sale).
Alexa Site Ranking:
Traffic Rank for thecgiproxy.com: 426,990 (as of posting this thread)
Domain:
Domain is registered at godaddy (free push) and is valid until Nov 2006.
Requirements:
As a proxy site, a decent machine (ideally a dedicated server with unmetered connection) should be used to host it. The used machine needs to run Apache(2) with CGI/Perl support!
Status:
The proxy script has currently been disabled for load-issues on my server. You can have a look at the site nontheless, the only thing different is that the admin team message replaces the normal proxy form...see screenshot
Payment:
Payments are accepted via Paypal only. Content and domain will be pushed on receiving the funds.
Starting bid: $300
BIN: edit: 1200$
Duration:
This auction will end one week from now (Friday March 31st, midnight GMT+1) - Disclaimer: I reserve the right to add a BIN at which the site can be bought right away.
Further infos:
I've tried to provide all the information I can. If there's something missing or if you've got additional questions, feel free to contact me directly via pm and/or mail (ingoal[at]gmail[dot]com).
