As mentioned above, I checked PR from http://prchecker.info

There was a developed site on this domain untill some time back which i had to take down due to host problem and my exams approaching.
My site had linkings with high PR sites, my friend's sites, who had network of sites interlinking. His network sites had good PR, I don't know how he built it up, but I expect PR came from there, besides promotions and advertising done at diff. forums during that time. Nothing was paid to link, it was just mutual exchange of links.

PR is expected to improve with some content at domain as well.
