Really the only semi-decent way to check traffic of a domain is through alexa rank. But it's not very accurate.

eh, alexa is only semi-decent when it comes to really low numbers. try asking the current owner for stats if possible.

If it is about .PR domains then I'm sure there's some value in them. Popular holiday destination, many citizens, relatively unused so many keywords probably available.
