PPC % formula

Hi

What would be a average good ball point figure for PPC. Would 30% of uniques goto a click through (Not very good @ Wording this sorry!! lol)

Example

Domains gets 1000 per month
30% click through 300 clicks per month

I am not sure what is a rough % of uniques goto clicks any ideas on a average formula

Completely depends on the topic and how they got to your site to begin with, but on my content sites, I would certainly be happy with a 30% CTR.

Is 30% a bt ambtious is it more likely to be about 5%. Also is there anyway of checking to find out if the links to your web page from other sites are working still. Is there any kind of software or is there another way

If you get 30% be VERY happy. I know for banner clicks 2% to 3% is good....

Yeah that sounds right. Is there a way to find if the links pointing to a webpage you have are still working (Not the links on your own site but the links from other sites to yours)

Try a search in Google for the url I firget what it some something like

link: domain.com or
url: domain.com

I have a site that since last march is 7.3%. Some days is as high as 25% and some as low as 0%. Site gets around 2000 - 2500 uniques/month of which about 50% +- come from search engines. To bad the keywords are not bid high.

Yep, anything about 20% is pretty good on a website that gets more than 2000 hits a day. It is better to have consistency than up and down CTRs. On one of my sites, I get a consistent 8%, no less than 7% no higher than 10% which is I think is great.
