Populating a directory

I'm trying to fill my directory listing site... can I go to another directory in my industry and use their listings. The description, titles, logos, etc.. would probably be the same on all the directories they submitted to.
If not, then how do you populate a directory?
Thanks

Other options...

  1. See if there is a database available for your particular directory niche and it import.
  • If your directory script offers it, you may be able to import listings from DMOZ.
  • Do your own research, write the descriptions yourself and input it all by hand.
  • If you have the budget, find someone you can outsource to.

Since contact info (website, address, phone, etc) remains the same no matter what, I always recommend you use original content - i.e. write your own descriptions -- when creating directories.

Good luck!

By this you mean "Submitted Links" to populate?

You can submit it to DirectoryCritic.com
That's how I populated mine a few years ago :)
