Pool Question

I'm not a member of Pool, but I have a question about their service.

a) Do you have to be a "member" in order to review/find out if anyone else is bidding on a particular domain?

There is a domain I'de like to own..
it would couple well with a name I already own..
This name has expired.. in July.. and it's been over 30 days (grace) for renewal time to take place, but.. the name has not been renewed, and I'de like to buy the name.. but it's not available to the general public.

My question, is how can I determine if someone or others..
are bidding on this name, without being a pool member?

or do I need to be a pool member to retrieve this data.

Name expired July 3rd, but is still not 'available' for registration. Wonder when it will be, as it's past the 30 day grace period.. hmm..
