Is it possible to add a "Politics & Religion" Forum to the site?

Another Web Master forum of a similar size to this has one and it's certainly very lively. :)

I can moderate it if needs be.

Thanks.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I think that would cause way too many problems here, every discussion would be a heated thread, with atleast 5 if not more people being banned every single day, because of the language they use, amongst other reasons. Plus quite a few NP members would never come back, they love this community because it doesnt have heated topics.

Plus I will guarantee you no way no how 8^X

its a worse idea than an dating forum

i want namepros.com to be purely business on domains just a couple of breaks from time to time and sharing of freebies, not those 2 controversial forums.

Maybe a social room for the more serious discussions :)

This way all the serious topics that people don't want getting in the way in the lounge can but put in the social area :)

I appreciate the suggestion. We're always looking for ways to diversify to better serve the members, but this one is unlikely to happen.

We allow these types of discussions already, but I don't want to encourage any more. Political and religious debates more prone to turn into flaming, hurt feelings, and name calling than other topics. NamePros is not the best fit.

Fair enough -RJ- and -db-

It was just a suggestion, I must admit that it would be a controversial forum.

I fully understand your viewpoint after being an admin for 8 years myself but thought I would suggest it and see what you guys thought about it. :)

Nothing is beyond the realms of possibilities for NamePros INC. or one it's future subsidiaries... after all, we plan to dominate the world of web forums, and we've got the best development team that $14.22 can buy. :)

But it's not the right fit, for here.

We do appreciate your idea, and your creativity. B-)
