WPT Enterprises has trademarks on "World Poker Tour" and "WPT" variations, but nothing specifically on "Poker World Tour".

That's not to say that owning this domain won't cause you any headaches down the road though.

Put a simple one pager on the domain with some gambling affiliates. I have one gambling affiliate account with BWIN.com They seem pretty good. If you can get even one sign up the commissions are very high. If WPT wants to buy your domain take it, it does have TM issues so u will lose it if they file UDRP to take it back, more likely they just ask for it and you have to hand it over.

Yes and no. It depends on what the intent of the site is. In the legendofzelda.com case it's a fan site, and they were (a) not using the site in bad faith or against Nintendo, and (b) were not trying to profit from selling the domain. If either of those were true it would be a completely different story.

I highly doubt your ignorance could be helping your cause, obviously it's blatantly similar to worldpokertour, if you want to make money off them, good luck to you.

I watch the world poker tour all the time and as someone who has played real money online when I see this name I automatically think WPT....in fact I had to look twice at the name. I think confusingly similar sums this one up nicely when it comes to possible TM issues.

Its not really bad or good decision, its a risky investment, it might pay off or might not. But seeing as you already registered it, dont stop halfway now, put some gambling affiliates up on the site, because thats the kind of user you will attract.
