Somewhat desirable name, but your end-user base is tight-tight-tight- that's the bad news.
Bad news 2.0 is that the poker-boom in the US hit its apogee a couple years back and interest has been waning since that time...

The good news is that the people who would be candidates to buy a name like this have deeeeeeeeeeeep pockets and a capacity to impulsively throw around money that isn't like normal human beings...

lol at dongsman avatar :tu:

Its a nice name. As usual you'd get a lot more if developed and its not hard work to put a bit of poker content up, let it age and be indexed and then sell it on.

Best place to sell would be the PAL forums. Wouldnt be unusual for it to go for $100 or so.

I'd probably develop it into a poker training site. "Workshop" sounds more like a training type atmosphere rather than a competitive tournament atmosphere. While the boom may be over, as long as the product is good it will work.

For what it's worth, the .NET site is an active Asian site with different tournaments in different parts of Asia. No, I don't know any Asian language but the links all point to subdomains of different asian countries poker tournaments. There is also an Info site that is not developed. If you do make a success or plan on doing serious development, pick up the unregistered .ORG while you can as well.

Probably worth a spec site if you don't want to fully develop it. 100 seems a bit low (hell, if they had deep pockets they'd bet that trying to fill an inside staight!), but only if the site is developed somewhat.

That market is totally, totally saturated. Pretty much the surest way to fail in the poker game today is to develop a new online card room or a new poker training site. The barriers to entry are ridiculously high and the chances of success are low.

Your best bet is to get in touch with PokerRoyalty or someone like that- and have them filter it through their stable of clients, a lot of whom put on training clinics. These guys ship five figure pots back and forth multiple times a day- with as much to the thought of the financial consequence of it all as normal people give when ordering a $3 Whopper at Burger King- so if someone there wants it, they'll pay a fair price.
