Hmm....weird. I would assume that if an auction ends at 9PM then a bid posted at 9PM would not be valid as the auction had already ended.

Oh well, I'll know for next time I guess.

This has happened many, many times (myself included).

Auction end times have to be stated clearly. I usually add that a bid at such and such time is a good bid and a bid 1 minute later is too late.

We've discussed this before, and the prevalent view is that bids exactly at the end time are valid.

I happen to agree with lux in principal that an auction should be over instantly when the end time occurs, but because of the unique nature of forum auctions I do recommend and support the policy of validating bids made at the same minute of the end time when not otherwise specified.
