Well, like you wot, im the greatest sceptic EVER with regard sub domains and especially the effect this could potentially have on the net. But a $15k sale of a sub domain D-: thats some of the biggest news for some time.... :)

But like others, im a little confused as to why it still resolves to Quality's parking page? For if id just handed over $15k, that name had better be in my possession, resolving to my servers and locked before id even consider completing the escrow transaction. But no escrow transaction D-: Money in bank before transfer D-: That buyer must have just fallen out of the nearest tree... :) I will watch how things unfold here with interest...

But as for it showing as an expiring domain...! :?

well web.com makes it think its like a .co.in domain - doesn't really say that web.com is an unofficial extension... so the company might not have known but good sale

Hi, what do you mean by web.com is an unofficial extension ? any additional info/explination on that statement appreciated :) , thanks Gazzip

Nice sale, Congratulations.

I find it a bit risky to buy a subdomain especially for such a huge amount since you have no control over the top level domain.

Yeah, im with Oven, any further updates on this...?? This sale is big news Quality... Spread the good vibe bro... And btw, you couldnt provide me your buyers name could you..?? :) Pay $15,000 and let the previous owner keep the name pointed to their parking page...

God we need more buyers like this...

Yeah me too - I would like a buyer like that LOL

I too would like more info on this, as right now we do seem to have a drive-by posting... a sale of this magnitude would (And should) be on DNJ's big board and front page.

Hm? Why?

Well, for the record, I'm too lazy to read 1.5 pages of thread... :p If that means anything?

Its not like your a national magazine not odd someone did not respond, probably a bogus sale though

Hate to say it, but "Told ya'll so".
"quality" is, and has always been, something of an expert in hyperbole.
Still, if he wants to come clear up the issues, I still hold my hat and would be willing to eat it.

I very much resent some of the slurs on my character.
I have signed legally binding documents in respect of the
domain name and I have to be careful to carry out
the instructions carried out in that document - this is
why I cannot answer some of the questions asked....
when the site goes live I am sure you will understand why.

In the meantine I have to follow the timeline in the document
not the timeline of some of the posters on this board.

I hope that clarifies matters. I am at liberty to disclose the
sale and it is up to you if you believe it or not but I felt
it was useful information about relevant happenings in the
domain name market that might be of interest and I am
delighted with the sale.

Then I suppose we will all be left to "wait and wonder" until that point.
Nostra-mitt-us still prophesizes :td:

Yep the centralnic database is inaccurate....
in fact web.com are in charge of the names I have regged....

Well, id be interested to know then as to how the buyer found you in the first place to give you the $15k and managing to by-passing sedo....?? For they cannot have found you via whois at web.com for this returns nothing and as you say the centralnic database is inaccurate. :-/

Can you tell us this Quality for id love to know how to cut sedo out of any deal im involved in as im fed up with receiving the "youve been offered $160, fees $150, you get $10" from sedo :(

Very interesting....... :?

the centralnic database is inaccurate.... thats for sure, I reg'd 3 .web.com subdomains and when I checked the whois records they say they expire on the same year they were reg'd -

Record created on: 10 December 2005
Record expires on: 10 December 2005

It has also took 2 emails - 1 phonecall - and 3 days so far to try and change the nameservers !! - Still not changed, Not a good start ! :td: Could be better I think.
