Now hears a hard temptation for all you poker gurus.

Be honest, which is more fulfilling poker or domaining?

Which makes you more dough?

I love poker, just not very good :hehe:. I tallied up everything i have spent on poker this year (last month), and compared it to the total i spent on domains.

Turns out i spent 376x more on poker than the amount i bought in domains :yell:

Yet domaining this year has me at 1400% ROI, poker well lets just say its negative. :hehe:

I think i should re-structure my investments. Could have had 376x more domains! :yell:

Limit your poker losses. Take 1/4 of what you spent & devote it toward being a better player, (i.e. pokertracker (if online), books, DVDs etc) Look for the opportunity to decrease you risk when you play. Take another 1/4th and apply it towards domaining, that should help to offset your losses (assuming you don't reg a bunch of questionable domains with the extra cash). Are you playing to make money or for recreation? There is a huge difference. Let me say that again, there is a huge difference.

I love poker, but I never played any real money games online, one problem is I don't have a credit card :\. Poker and domaining are both games of chance, but I see domaining as a better chance of winning. Domaining also usually takes a more long term investment, while you can lose or win lots of money on poker in seconds. Poker is more entertaining and more of a fun way to spend time though :) .

I do have to agree that poker texas hold em is fun. Just that you need to be careful for your money.

I got started in domains thanks to poker. I got a promotional $20 for signing up with a certain poker room and turned it into $600. I decided that while still speculation and little bit of a gamble that domaining would be the safer option than online poker.

I still indulge a little and have never had to deposit any money at the site I'm at. If I had a choice and the funds though, I'd choose poker every day :)

Or just make the trip to the casino & watch people gamble their money away & be thankful that it wasn't you :)

They have World Poker Tour tournaments on the travel channel. Theres something similar on one of the espn's I get. And i also think theres a show on gameshow network called high stakes poker.
