Me and athletec have been chasing this name. We had to get validated to reg the name, a very painstaking process when in-line to get a name like this. It has a killer reg fee ($1000) but I know it's worth it...

Poker.pr

PR is Puerto Rico, a caribbean nation with many casinos and a large tourist destination. I feel that it is in the same boat as Poker.bs (which sold for $3600 days ago). They both have acting gambling communities and in a tourist destination, however Puerto Rico is closer and more accessible to the average tourist.

Here are some google results for site: to help you valuate against recent poker.ext's that have been appraised here:
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,290,000 for site:.pr. (0.08 seconds)
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,120,000 for site:.bs. (0.10 seconds)
Your search - site:.rn - did not match any documents.

Where is the best place to sell this name, (forums, ebay, etc) and how should I go about contacting local casinos in Puerto Rico. Thanks in advance for all the constructive tips and advice you can give.

Until the .in owner actually sells poker_in @ $20K it will be hard to put this .pr even close to that amount. As far as country interest... India has a population of 1.08 Billion .. PR has a pop of 3.8 Million.

FYI, while I agree with your assessment about comparing the name to Poker.in, I just wanted to note that I did indeed receive an offer at $20,000, which was actually about 4 months ago now. I've had another half-dozen offers at $10k or higher, so IMO there's no doubt it's worth at least $20k.

Anyhow, I posted my assessment at DN, but I'll put it here too:

"I think it's going to be worth less than .bs if anything because of the reg fees being so high, and it seems like .com.pr is also used and is much cheaper reg fees. That will drive a lot of people off. Some people might be dumb and drool over it without thinking of the reg fees, in which case you might get lucky, but I think you're looking more around $2k-$2.5k. It wouldn't hurt to try for more though...within the reg year you probably could get $3,500."

Poker.exts are going crazy lately, in terms of sales and people regging them in all kinds of exts. I've still got 3: in, cg, and rw, and have sold 3: md, vc, and sh, plus helped set up the sales of 2: gs and tc. IMO, as far as look and possible use, compared to the ones I've dealt with. pr would be behind only in and md, and ahead of the rest. The high reg fees kills a lot of potential value. If they go down, the name could be worth another 2k-3k at least IMO.

Plus you can add the many millions in US and that will add up since PR is part of USA

PR related to poker instantly makes me think of PAIR.

As in a pair of Aces.

Cool name. Well done.
