I was giving you an appraisal based on the fact that I could register "amepros.com" right now, stick a subdomain on so its "n.amepros.com". I dont see where you find the value in such a domain? And yes, I am very aware any available domain can be registered, obviously.

Well Mr obvious

the value is when you want to have a poker site but have to pay 20 million if you want Poker.com or $20,000 if you want poker360.com or $200 if you want po.ker360.com, obviously!

Ok, stand by that and come back to me when you've sold it. The domain itself is just "ker360.com" which has no value that I can see.

Fair enough! Thanks.

This is a forum where we *ALL* learn. You/we never, ever know all there is about a given subject. Good question, mgt, and though it may be obvious to some what to do and what not to do in our *ever changing* world of domain buying, the issue here is communicating that feedback. This is a forum where new and experienced people ask Qs.

As for the domain ker360 dot com, I think your idea is quite creative and your question is a good one. Using a sub-domain to creatively complete/extend a keyword is a strategy many use. Point in fact, all domains are unique, and though ker360 dot com is worthless as a stand alone, using that "po" subdomain leverages its value - to what extent is the question you ask here. I hope you find someone with experience and communication skills to pass that on to you - I'll be listening as well. Life is an education.

>>>>>> icio dot us anyone??? Now let's use the subdomain "del" :)

Thanks for the thread.

del.icio.us is one of the most famous domain hacks, I guess you would call it.
Po.ker360.com I hope will be too!

Also head on over to sedo and look for 360 domains. plenty have sold for $2500 price range and they are not really related to Xbox more related to 360 degrees of coverage.

Oh I knew the "del.icio.us" debate would come up, the big difference was.. delicious was a unique(ish) established company and they provided a service great enough for people to memorize the domain - which equates to one word in total (not 2 plus an extension). I wouldent recommend drawing anymore comparisons with them, because I wouldent even class them as the same "type" of domain.

<keyword>360 dot com has been selling like hotcakes, with the prices based on the keyword. Browse through DNJournal's archives for a taste of the market.

Opinions, mine included, are dime-a-dozen. Take a calculated chance and see where you go is my motto. Following the lead sheep is not going to catapult you anywhere.

Mahalo gang, thanks for the feedback :)

For every domain hack that has been successful, there are thousands that aren't. Good luck though.

As far as del.icio.us,
Yeah, you are probably right on that one but I still think po.ker360.com is worth something. You just can not find any decent poker keywords left, At all!

Also Check out p.oker.com, and all the other oker exts are gone as well.

Domain hacks include the TLD...this one doesn't.

Sorry, I'm going to have to agree with Flaresolutions on this one.

Ummm, not a debate, it was a *comparison* of how one uses creativity with a subdomain+domain+extension *and* that a solid domain (word or phrase) is not the only success story. Of the billions of worldwide sites I would wager many take the subdomain approach, how successful they are is left to a combination of elements. ker dot com would be the ideal candidate, but the use of 360, as mentioned above, is becoming quite the attraction. The value is completely subjective at this stage since there is little to no evidence to compare against, just opinions.

Ciao gang! :)

I was just browsing your portfolio and I stumbled accross one particularly disturbing "domain hack" in the adult section. Maybe you arent such a good judge yourself?
