Not a good idea - the olympic committee is very protective of their trademarks.

Well I dont think this will be any copyright issue. It just says Olympic Beijing in 2008. About the name, I like the words on it but the hypens hurts me. Hypens in domain degrade the domain name to a great extent. I dont thing it will be a good name if you are looking for resale. If you can develop a website on this, it will yield something :imho:

Actually the IOC is one of the most protective brands. While some TM issues are disputable, this one is obvious. You would have no chance in a possible UDRP, and no chance of selling them to domainers due to its nature.

as I said in the Ebay thread. Drop this domain fast before you get sued so bad you will wish you didn't register it. the olympics is one of the most protected trademarks and they have been known to make examples of people.

You mean you bought as paid in an auction. If so not much you can do . But if you reg it just cancel it or just dont park it and let the domain expire.

Can you force drop it instead of waiting 1 year? They are suing people in Vancouver that have that name in their restaurants/stores etc that they have owned for many years. They are very protective!
