I just started web design and I would like to know how www.thecomputershack.net looks so far. Please help me out by telling me what I can work on. I also need some help as to how I should design the updates secion on the left. I tried making a header, but it looked too basic. Please let me know what I can work on.

Well if this is your first layout then you're on the right track! Good job.

I Would suggest you cut a little from that bevel & Emboss you used in the submit button

Is that better for the submit button? I have two questions that need solving.

#1) What can I do with that keyboard and monitor. I need a background or something catchy by them.

#2) How can I make a section for updates on the left. I need a designated outlined area, but when I messed around with it, it didn't look right.

Can you help me find a picture of a server? This is more for learning. It is like learning your home computer. I need an image that will work well. Any ideas?
