current site is BAD! it looks like it made by website newbie 3 years ago. sorry. i like new one waaaaaaay more. i fill more safe to shop at new one. its just feelings, but it mean a lot for shopper.

That what the domain he hired us for. He was able to get it at reg fee I assume so thats what we designed it arround.

I agree with the above post. The current site is very unprofesional and I would not touch it however the new site looks a lot more professional and I would be happy to buy from that site.

people wont check the number of pages in site....they check how informative book it is.

the site should give a feel for them to trust his ebook.

when people visits his site....should feel that its a good site and trustfull, to buy a copy.

It goes without saying that the "old design" is nowhere near up to par and looks like completely outdated compared to the new design.
All the opinions have been quite on target, from old fashioned to spam to, too unprofessional and untrustworthy, all these labels can easily be applied to the old design.
The new design, even though it could technically be fine tuned a little bit, is by far superior. A discussion about what looks professional and what doesn't must be coming from the "heart" of the owner who wants to protect his creation.

Heres my take on this, and take it for what its worth since its from someone with little to no design experience

I can understand why he doesnt like the new site.

If thats him in the pictures, he looks like a burly manly kind of guy, and hes trying to sell what looks to be some sort of fitness and wealth building system.

Yes, his old site is poorly done and looks amateurish in the layout, and yes your new site is much much cleaner and clearly dont by a real designer BUT the new site also looks like a little, I dont know, feminen? Even maybe kiddish?

Personally I think the cute little cartoon of the girl with the skirt and the haltertop/suit is ruining the site. To me, it takes the seriousness out of the site. It looks like the stickers and toys little girls play with.

The site itself is good, but I think the reason your client doesnt like it is that it doesnt fit with the image/message he's trying to portray (which Im judging from his old site)

Personally, if Im shopping for a fitness or financial product, I want to see serious fitness or financial related imagery, not a cartoon businesswoman.


Maybe take out the cartoon, make the site a little les "bubbly" and put some more relevant imagery into the site. He'll probably like it alot better.

I think this sums it up well.. design wise the new site looks a million times better, but I think it's a bit cartoonish. Ditch the cartoon girl & replace with a bold masculine image. (or make her skirt shorter :lol: )

I think that the current site is very unorganized. It is hard for me to even look at it because I dont know what to look at first. Your site that you did for him is very nice. I give the new site 9/10.
