Learning the ropes on here and no better way, I hope, than an appraisal. Have more-who doesn't, but not wanting to bore the community...yet.

No, I don't quite trust the automated, registrar-owned, letter-counting appraisal tools.

Welcome to the forum.

The registration date of this domain is July 23, 2024, so it's actually just more than a week ago.

Some questions first.

What does ARREA mean, why did you pick this name in the .rs extension, and what's the exact goal of the current content on the website? Selling subdomains?

I'm a bit confused.

I assume because of the "arrears" hack.

It's not a widely used term in commerce. I don't see much value.

Ah, that's helpful. At times I find myself lagging behind because English is not my native language.

But yes I see it now ๐Ÿค“

Apart from the domain name. You set up a website within a week to sell subdomains, but now it looks like you want to sell the domain right away ("Business for sale", you say on the site).

What are your plans and dreams?

It seems to lean more towards a UK term than a US term, when I look at OpenCorporates.

Thanks for taking the time. Yes, your assumption is correct. It's a small nichรจ and for every duck there is a pond. I'm using this domain mainly to test various things like how certain factors improve the value of domains (that otherwise will never be registered) how responsive various forums are, what should be in the domainer's arsenal etc. I'll see what it is after 6months or a year, better.

Thanks for replying, appreciated.
Well, as a general rule of thumb, concept if you like, I very rarely sell a domain "as-is" fresh out of registration. As for "plans/dreams", the for-all rule is "grow, establish, have a web presence and then lets talk". Grow means backlinks, organic traffic, socmedia presence, G-console, Adsense approved and a few more factors (got a list, lol). So, to answer your other question: I did not setup the website to just sell subs or just the domain. "Business for sale" was the first page published.
I am hosting all my domains with wildcard ssl on oracle boxes and all have two usecases at the very least. So I am selling a domain, its subs, its website and online presence/history/rank/indexing with the added benefit of some usecases (that a potential buyer may not want, but they're there, alas.)

Thanks, that's valuable info. Very much so. I expected the term to not be well established everywhere, but my main take is that "arrears" is a well-behaved guy in accounting terminology...

Arrea by itself is nothing but a typo, lol. Arrea.rs is the domain hack, as pointed out below. The potential to sell/lease subs is there, as is for any other root domain. That's the domain buyer's prerogative, from reg. to enduser.

The goal of the website is to enhance the value (or put some if none, lol) of a domain. Traffic, indexing/crawling, backlinks, SEO, that type of stats. Then to present some domain usecases and showcase why "should I buy your domain".

Like buying a stock car vs. a tuned one, where the website is the salesman.

Thanks for the info. Especially on this forum, be careful how to present the domain. Saying "age: under a year" is technically true, but when you've only just registered the domain a week ago, be sure that domain investors will notice such signals. Also, they will investigate the domain history, all other domains related to the owner, and more.

Good that you're testing our response time on this forum! How are we doing so far?

The forum is doing great, quite surprised, if I'm honest, didn't expect any reply to a new user's first post, letalone a genuine interest in conversation. I hope this interest is a constant.
Domain investors are expected to do their bit in checking and questioning signals and telling them from the onset "it's under a year" is a fair caveat emptor that I offer to save them some clicking, I should think...
Tx for taking the time to liven up my post.

Hi

another new member asked

imo...
Yeah, well, to each its own, it matters how and what we do with what we got. A vast majority of english plural nouns end in -rs, there are hacks out there like cars, bars etc.

I believe that a domain, and especially a hack, gets value if showcased with its perceived-by owner and outsiders alike- potential. I mean, what would afternic be without its platform-another afterSomething domain...or godaddy. Time will tell if any rs is worth more than the arse it came out of. Couldnt help the pun, lol.

You need to estimate your STR for these types of special domain hacks. Consider your opportunity cost.

That is always the pain of the one that got away...where possible, I try to limit but one cant have the cake and eat it too. But yes, great advice, thanks. ( why can't I reply if embedded links exist? bit troublesome, this)

Please read: [oh, it's a link preventing my reply posting]

We should automatically remove those links from quoted content for you when you reply, but the developer didnโ€™t think about that, unfortunately.

You can remove them manually.
Oh, it's never the coder's fault, it's the network, it's always the network...is what your developer would say. I've been blamed for everything since youtube was invented. But thanks, I'll read through
