I got an e-mail from a stranger asking to buy a certain domain of mine, 3Dexpierence.com, which is a typo site and not worth much at all.

"Hello,

How much do you ask for this domain for sale?

Our company buy and sell domains and developed sites. If you have other
domains for sale feel free to send your list.

Looking forward to do business with you.

Regards,

And then I asked how much he would want and he said he would pay $5000, I'm thinking there's no way this can't be real, scam, am I right?

mm meant it is a scam, the next thing they ask is that you have your domain appraised by a service they recommend...don't fall for it, you are right it is a scam.....

i replied letting them know i had told everyone on many forums about this ,hoping it would deter it ..........seems not, good news is you are now wiser for the experience

I got the same one... Replied that he should first send me 200$ in advance so we could share the expenses of all the appraisals, never heard back from him... Would have been cool if someone managed to scam the scammer.
