TM issues with Microsoft abound if your looking for a sale...unless deved into a fan site...but even then risky.

Can't see you ever selling it undeveloped, especially with that extension and the TM issues. I've learned that xbox tends to be (somewhat) lax in pursuing sites that are for fans, but will still pursue if you actually try to make money on the site, sell anything, etc... it's called a 'bad faith' registration, trying to profit off someone else's Tm, etc.

If you intended to dev it into something fan-like, I think you'll be okay. But if you wanted to monetize it or sell it, I'd say drop that hot potato. If it's a fresh reg, you can still email your registrar to drop it asap, take that credit/refund and grab a safer/better name. Most registrars offer this service, but you only have a few days grace to drop it and get the refund. Later you can still drop it anytime, just without getting the credit.

Let's face it. It's a .ws and the new Xbox isn't actually called the Xbox 2. Now if it was Xbox360.ws, that would be better.

I mailed Godaddy, and they replied that they couldn't give any refunds, should I develop it into a fan site and then sell? or should I try to sell right now?

Ok... I would suggest probably trying to develop it, then sell it... .WS is, for one, not the best extension, but other than that "XBox2" Maybe XBox, XBox360, XBoxfan, or something similar would be better... Just try developing it into a fan site and if you want money, sell it with content...

If it's too late for a refund (or if they don't refund .ws regs - I don't know policy here since I've never reg'd a .ws), you've got the choices of just leaving it alone until drop time in a year and seeing if it sells, or asking them to drop it anyways even if you don't get a refund, or developing it. But it's only reg fee right now and you haven't spent a lot of time and energy, so I wouldn't recommend throwing a lot of time into dev'ing it unless you're really interested in that. Cut your losses as lessons learned, unless, like I said, you're totally into xbox and into dev'ing a site around it. If so, then you can't lose because you're doing it out of fun/interest.

I have to agree with the others.

"XBOX360" is the name of their second generation system, not XBOX2. Between that factor and the .ws extension, this domain holds no real value for resell. Even from a development angle, things are not on your side.

Chalk it up to a learning experience, and move on.
