Hi all.
I recently bought the domain hot (.) ws and just now i tried to use Estibot.com
Can someone explain why its rated this high? i mean s*x (.) ws is "only" at 8700 USD but hot (.) ws is at 12.000 USD.
I tried various ws domain but all are low.
Even Godaddy appraisals says approx. 4000-11000 USD for hot (.) ws

$500 annual renewal. Better develop this fast, you won't even get reg fee for this domain in resale imo.

Don't really see why hot.ws is higher than s*x.ws but... estibot is not perfect.

I totally agree that i don't see the reason that hot.ws is worth more than s*x.ws.
But after the estibot valuation i got a GoDaddy appraisal.
It says between 4000-11000 USD for hot.ws

So this domain can't be worthless? or can it?

The good news: "Hot" is very brandable, pretty much for anything, and very memorable, and also an LLL domain.

The bad news: It's not a keyword domain. It's not immediatedly descriptive of its content, whatever that may be. User has to remember the domain and the extension. Ws is not a good extension. "Sex.ws" is a keyword domain. To be honest I don't know why hot.ws would get a higher score on estibot - the damn thing is a mystery to me, too

But if indeed the renewal is 500 bucks, then it's pretty expensive just to own it...

Unless you can flip this real quick, I agree with mwzd: develop it fast, market it and try to reach a PPC/affiliate income of >500 bucks per year, then you can justify holding on to it while waiting for a possible buyer.



PS. How much was the Godaddy appraisal? How long did it take to get it?
