'Bed and board' is the term in the U.K for what may been known in the U.S as 'bed and lodging'.

Maybe it could be of use to someone to develop into a review site or similar.

Thanks in advance.

Alex.

In the US the correct term would be "Bed and Breakfast".

It seems this is also the correct term used in the UK too (from what I could find).

"Bed and Board" only receives 46 exacts in the UK as compared to 40,000 for "Bed and Breakfast".

I think the brandable aspect is also lacking here IMHO.

Based on these quick observations, I would have to say $0 value as it stands right now.

Thanks for your replies domainscp and njsurfer77. Yes njsurfer77, you're definitely right about it not being as popular as the term 'Bed and Breakfast', and in retrospect I also believe 'Bed and Board' is quite an old-fashioned term as well. Thanks again for your input.

It's "Room and Board" or "Bed and Breakfast".

I've never heard of bed and board.... bed and bored, maybe :)

With the upcoming release of .UK in 2013, I don't think this is a good time to be investing in .CO.UK with speculative intentions. If you study and prepare, you will be able to snag a much much better .UK domain for investment purposes very soon.

I would also add that this is probably the greatest TLD release since the introduction of .COM in the very beginning. There's a good chance that .UK could go on to rise and compete with the all mighty one. These events are sure to put a hurting on .CO.UK in the long run. IMHO

Thanks defaultuser

Thanks MicroGuy. As a bit of a 'newbie' to domaining I haven't really heard much about the new .uk release in 2013, but it's something i'll definitely be doing alot of research on. I certainly didn't know it's going to be as big a deal as you say. Thanks for the informative post.

Cheers guys.

His is a voice among many and in this case might not be very accurate.

.UK will be a "managed" TLD specifically set up for the purposes of avoiding investment by domainers, imho. It will be restricted to UK companies (though I doubt size will matter) so perhaps you could benefit. The regfee cost will be much greater than current co.uk and no one can gauge the future .uk market before it even exists or knows what controls are in place.
