Hi,

Someone offered me US$9,000 for my domain and requested for an appraisal from a company first. Is this a spam?

LOL

2 points;

1) The name is worthless

2) ANYONE or ANY Company who requests that you have your domain appraised, is either a SCAM or is NOT serious about purchasing it.

These people prey on domainers because they know domainers are extremely motivated and anxious to sell.

Use common sense when dealing with these parasites.

Nice to see someone from the beautiful Country of Singapore.... Is Lucky Plaza still in business?, Last time I was in Singapore I was 6 months pregnant.

...while the name may not be worthless in itself, it will take a certain amount of work to market the product to an interested party. I have the same challenge with the "TheSilent99".

While mine is topical and could have a shorter shelf life due to that, yours sounds like a nice name for a magazine and more durable as such.

The ONLY rule that I abide by in appraisals is I NEVER, NEVER, N-E-V-E-R pay for an appraisal, period. Especially when a potential buyer suggests or demands one. They can do that themselves.

So, to recap...I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER PAY FOR AN APPRAISAL!
That's about it...
